about

written from April-July of 2017

all songs written and recorded on a cheap guitar I bought for myself from a Hobgoblin Music shop, while living in the London neighborhood of Borough for a year - with two exceptions.

Blazer was written for piano, despite the fact that I can't play piano. I recorded this song in Lake Worth, Florida, on my mom's old ivories.

I briefly moved from Borough to Seven Sisters, where I stayed for three weeks. In that time, I sold back the original guitar, thought better of it, and returned to the Hobgoblin to discover that the guitar had been resold already. Devastated, I turned to a secondhand music store, and snatched up the cheapest vessel I could find - In this case, one with nylon strings and a glue-gunned neck. I kept him for just three weeks, and wrote one song during his stay. That song was Nootka Lupine.
